Founded in 1986, the AIHEC Student Congress works to promote leadership, self-governance, cultural preservation, educational achievement, community development, economic sustainability and success for all Native people.  Past accomplishments have included successful lobbying efforts in Washington D.C., student representation on national panels and development of a leadership institute.
